Capacitance Level Switches are designed to signal, monitor or detect the level of a wide variety of solids and liquids, including conductive and non-conductive with adjustable sensitivity. These units are primarily used in applications with high temperature or high pressure. Built with high mechanical resistance (316 SS solid rods and multiple options for process connection size and types), UF-N / NSA-F can be applied in various products such as cement, sand, coal, grains, etc.
For level detection of corrosive products, is also a great alternative because its rod can be completely coated with PTFE.

Capacitance Level Switch is such a level switch that detects an object by seeing capacitive changes occurring between electrode and metal-tank wall or grounded electrode. As the object contacts the electrode, thus increasing capacitance generated between the electrode and metal-tank wall or grounded electrode, it detects the capacitive changes to convert its output contact. When there is no object, the output contact returns to the initial condition.

Capacitance Level Switch detects an existence or no existence of object in a vessel like silos or tanks, depending on a capacitance principle. An insulated metal probe mounted in a metal container forms a capacitor together with the metal wall whose capacitance continually increases as the medium level increases. Hence, for capacitive measurements a medium with a constant permittivity is required.
